J1 Student's Guide to San Diego Nightlife

There's always a party somewhere in San Diego. Clubs in diverse neighborhoods host an array of local and still independent music. We get our share of major concerts, sporting events, theater and national touring shows here, and literally thousands of emerging artists and other creatives work their magic in spaces around town with openings on Friday and Saturday nights.

We're cataloguing the SD scene by neighborhood (since getting around San Diego without a car takes arranging), age group, and a few other tags you might find useful.

Click through some of the examples below to our nightlife blog, where we update, add, delete and take your suggestions for places-- criticisms, too.
