Our new nine-passenger van with captain’s chairs is ready to roll!

Its here! We're pleased to announce our new Pacific-Gaslamp Express starts service this month in San Diego.

Designed originally for Irish J1 visitors to our fair city (hence the nickname "Irish Express"), this custom jitney-style service is a continuous 10-stop loop from Pacific Beach to the Gaslamp District now available to everyone in San Diego.

All stops are custom dispatched, so please call 619-275-5500 for travel times to your stop. Round-trip travel time is approximately 60 minutes.

Fares per person

• General Public : $8.00 one-way, $14.00 round-trip.
• All students, Hostel guests: $7.00 one-way, $12.00 round trip.
• J1 members: $5.00 one-way, $8.00 round-trip.

Because even after your J1 discount, a private car from the Gaslamp to PB still runs you around $20 USD one way, JohnnyCab is proud to introduce a truly affordable transportation alternative while you're here, especially when you have to travel by yourself and can't share the ride.

All J1 students can save money using the Irish Express over the price of a regular cab, but our J1 Members save an extra $4 a ride, which could quickly save you $80 USD a month if you ride it to work and back 5 days a week.
